This course investigates the worldwide Baha’i Community’s approach and learning to date from its endeavours in social and economic development. Participants will learn about the principles, concepts and programmes being pursued by Baha’is in diverse settings around the world as they strive to achieve coherence between the spiritual and material dimensions of locally oriented development. Further insights are generated from the study of a range of case studies from different countries including projects in education, health, agriculture, the environment, economic life, the advancement of women, as well as through arts and the media, and humanitarian action.  The course will also show how the Universal House of Justice has guided the process, by reference to some of its latest messages to the world.
