In Abdu'l-Baha's words: In the Baha'i Cause arts, sciences and all crafts are (counted as) worship. The man who makes a piece of notepaper to the best of his ability, conscientiously, concentrating all his forces on perfecting it, is giving praise to God.  

There are of course many other ways in which a Baha’i can serve society while working.  One may choose a career specifically devoted to service, such as in medicine of education.  One may assist one’s colleagues with their problems or their work. They can demonstrate the essential human spiritual equality rather than imposing work hierarchy outside work issues. They can also demonstrate complete justice and equity.

The course will use students’ own experience as well as exploring into the prevalent discourses in society through the study of Baha’i International Community statements, House of Justice messages and Ruhi books. The course will include a reflection on distance traversed in the past decades, and identify of the spiritual principles necessary to advance the prevalent economic, social and environmental discourses towards achieving Baháʼu'lláh’s vision of the unification of mankind and advancement of civilisation.
